A very special person to us went to be with the Lord on September 14th. Pam was not only my dearest friend's mom, but also my mom's dearest friend. Sarah and I have always been more like sisters than friends and Pam has a very special place in my heart. She was a wonderful mother, a faithful friend to my mom, an encouragement in my life, and overall a woman who loved and trusted the Lord. I have found comfort in knowing that Pam is rejoicing with her Savior now and we will see her again.

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."- John 3:16
A very happy day. Looking back on this day I remember a certain expression on Pam's face. I saw throughout that day a look that is nothing short of pure joy... the look that only a mother has for her daughter.. so proud of Sarah and the beautiful person she is, so full of love for her little girl.

Florida trip 1987...Look at our beautiful moms! I remember a lot of laughs on this trip. These are cherished memories of wonderful times together.
Pam always took the time to show that she cared about us. Genuine friends like Pam are such a treasure. I want Ava to know about this kind of friendship and I will definately tell her about Pam when she gets older.
I am so thankful for the twenty-four years I've had with Sarah. She is to me what Pam was to my mom, a true gift in this life. She has shown such faith in the Lord during these past few weeks. I have so much respect for the person that she is. I love you dearly Sarah.

"God is love. This is how God showed his love among us; He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins." - 1 John 4:9-10

Cousin Sara's Wedding Week

We have some very exciting news! Sara Cook got married last weekend in Nashville. The girls (Ava, myself, and Ditty) had a roadtrip to Indy. We enjoyed a wonderful pre-wedding week with Aunt Carol, Uncle Jim, Sara, and our NEW cousin Mark. Then it was off to Nashville for the big event! Woo hoo! Aunt Sara, Uncle Mark, and Ava at Sunday Church.

Cousins!

Ava LOVES her Aunt Carol. So much that almost every time Aunt Carol walked in the room during our visit Ava started clapping!

Ava picked tomatoes from Aunt Carol's garden. What fun!

Ava and Uncle Jim were Buddies for sure!

Meeting Aunt Alissa for the first time. True love :-)

My DiSano Family at Sara's wedding rehearsal.

My Rowe Family!

Congratulations Sara and Mark!

Ava was a great little traveler on the way home. We listened to hours of praise baby cd's and played lots of peek-a-boo games.

We felt so special to be a part of Sara's wedding. We are more than blessed to have an amazing family that we love so much! We will miss Sara (who now lives in Ireland) but truly couldn't be happier for her and Mark.

Polo Baby

In honor of Ava's fascination with the little polo man on Daddy's shirts, Karo and K-Bob got Ava a shirt of her very own with dozens of little polo dudes! What fun!

A letter to our baby girl.....

Dearest Baby Girl,

Ava Claire, you bring so much joy to us. You are growing up crazy fast... too fast! Yesterday you turned 11 months old. We are trying to cherish each minute with you and your cute little baby self! Today was a very special day because you walked 6 steps! You are officially a big girl now. You also said Boo this morning to Baylor Boo. I keep thinking that next month will already be your first birthday. This has truly been the best year. Almost everyday I have a sweet moment with you and I whisper to God "this is the best moment of my life." Today's moment was when I was carrying you to your crib for a nap and kissed your sweet chubby cheek. Funny thing is I know I will have another moment tomorrow with you and I'll feel like it is impossible for life to get any better all over again. Daddy loves you dearly too. You are his "little monkey." You play all the time with your daddy and I see his heart melt sometimes when he is holding you. He has a hard time putting you to bed for the night because he doesn't want to put you down. I think he'd sway in front of your crib with you in his arms all night if I let him. Baby girl, you are our heart's joy. We love you and thank Jesus everyday for you.
